Little Richard’s Toy Store has been a part of the Poor Richard’s family of businesses since 1991. It has always been a big hit in the community. The logo needed to be fun, but still carry the identity of Poor Richard’s. Problem solving with graphic design is one of my favorite past times.
The fun thing about this campaign was making this little hard made doll come to life. One of our talented toy store employees created this little character from felt. She sent me a photo of Carl. I worked with him for a few days until an idea came to me. It was inspired by my childhood of collecting puppets. Why not disassemble his appendages and make him like a reticulating marionette puppet?!
